Entries for the Wiggle No Excuses sportive open at 3pm today.
The event takes place on Sunday 18th March as as last year the ride is free if you turn up. If you enter but don’t turn up, and as the name suggest they’ll not be accepting any excuses then your £25 entry fee is dontated to charity.
The event sold out last year and is almost certain to do the same this year so you’ll need to be quick off the mark to secure a place.

Wiggle and UK Cycling Events are extremely pleased to announce that tickets for the FREE TO ENTER Wiggle No Excuses Sportive are now live!
The 2011 event was met with huge demand and tickets were snapped up fast! With no on the day entries, cyclists are advised to enter early in order to avoid disappointment.
Based at the ancestral home of Oliver Cromwell, the Wiggle Super Series No Excuses Sportive offers a stunning ride that takes in the leafy surrounds of the 3 counties of Cambridge, Bedford, and Northamptonshire.
The Wiggle Super Series No Excuses Sportive is our very own Christmas present to riders as it is completely free! Entrants put down a £25 deposit when they register online and this is then automatically refunded when the cyclist turns up and rides. What happens to the £25 deposit if a rider doesn’t show? Then every single penny is donated to charity. Last year this amounted to
£4,000 for the NSPCC.
Martin Barden, Event Organiser at UK Cycling Events, is brimming with excitement for the 2012 Wiggle Super Series No Excuses Event :
“It’s a great way to give riders an extra incentive to get out and ride – we don’t want excuses! We just want cyclists in saddles and out on the road! What could be better than kicking-off the 2012 Wiggle Super Series with a free ride?!”
Wiggle’s Director of Marketing, Martin Talbot, is equally pleased to see the return of the Wiggle Super Series No Excuses Sportive :
“Personally, I think that this event is absolutely brilliant because it gives us an opportunity to say thank you for such a great turn-out across the 2011 Wiggle Super Series! We would love to have anybody and everybody along but in reality we have to limit spaces, so enter soon to avoid disappointment!”
