EVENT SUMMARY
One of the UK’s premier sportive events, taking in classic Milk Race/Tour of Britain climbs of the Bwlch, Rhigos and Brecon Beacons mountain roads. The 2014 edition will see the introduction of a mammoth Dragon Devil distance as well as the return of the traditional Corto.

A choice of 3 route options –
- Dragon Devil 305km/3437m
- Gran Fondo 222km/3071m
- Medio Fondo 152km/1915m
- Corto 47km/297m
- Women’s Only Cycletta 47km/297m
“Offering four challenging distances: the Gran Fondo will take in approximately 3,071m of climbing, passing through the beautiful Brecon Beacons and the Medio Fondo approximately 1,915m. The Corto returns after a brief hiatus in 2013, and the returning distance will have a re-modelled and slightly longer route of approximately 47km.
The Dragon Devil will certainly not be for the faint hearted with the route including over 3437m of climbing. There will be a very limited numbers of places available for this option, so those who are keen will need to get in quickly. Those lucky enough to get a place will be well rewarded with an incredibly stunning cycling route which will take in the ‘Rhigos’, ‘Black Mountain’ and the ‘Devil’s Elbow’ – the Dragon ride’s signature climbs – with the new addition of the ‘Devil’s Staircase’, a climb with a 15% gradient and elevation of 480m.
The WomenOnly Cycletta will follow the same route as the Corto riders. Cycletta is the UK’s leading series of women only bike rides, supported by Olympic Gold Medallist Victoria Pendleton.”

I have done the a Dragon Ride for the past 7 years, and I have found out all places have gone. I used to get priority booking for this event as I have supported it for so long and now I find out it is sold out without even being notified. Is there anything that can be done to get me and my friend a place without having to go down the charity route.

Priority entry opened on the 3rd October with general entry opening on the 10th October so I think you’ve probably missed your chance for anything but a charity place. We did post reminders for our readers on our website and via our facebook and twitter accounts but it would have been down to Human Race if they wanted to contact riders from past events directly.
