EVENT SUMMARY
The Tour of Wessex Cyclosportive is one of the only multi stage sportive in UK and offers riders the opportunity to ride the full 3 days or just tackle a single day.
The 2014 event sees Trek Bikes come on board as the headline sponsor.
ROUTE INFORMATION
There are several route options depending on how many days and how far you want to ride –
3 day route options –
- 335 miles over 3 stages
- 213 miles over 3 stages
1 day route options –
- 24th – 73 or 107 miles
- 25th – 83 or 116 miles
- 26th – 57 or 112 miles
“Expect quintisentially English countryside though the lanes and byways of the South West. Each individual stage has its own unique mix of monuments, history and challenging terrain which sets it apart from other events; add the challenge of riding three days back to back and you have truly unique event.
Classic climbs include Cheddar Gorge, King Alfreds Tower, Lulworth Ranges, Quantock Common and Porlock Toll Road.”
