General entries are now open for the 2018 Maserati Tour de Yorkshire Ride which takes place on Sunday 6 May. The ride starts from Woodhouse Moor in Leeds where six thousand amateur cyclists are expected to ride key sections of the Tour de Yorkshire final stage, just hours before the pros.
This year’s final routes for the ride have also been revealed with the route designers describing the undulating route as “bringing new meaning to the phrase up hill and down dale!”. There are three route options to chose from (129km with 2059m of climbing, 84km with 1228m of climbing or 49km with 600m of climbing) using some of the same roads as 2014 Tour de France Stage 1 through the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding National Beauty.
