We’ve just heard from the team behind the Stephen Roche training camps who have been working hard behind the scenes in preparation for the start of the new season.

They’ve recently welcomed their first guests of the year, the Endura racing team who will be staying with them in preparation for the Mallorca Challenge. Starting on the 5th February 2012, this international event attracts many of the top teams in the cycling world and consists of a series of five races throughout the island.

The goods news is you don’t have to be a pro rider to benefit from a training camp in warmer climes. Whilst many of the top international teams do use Majorca to host their winter training camps it’s also a popular destination for cyclists of all abilities, due to its climate and the selection of cycling routes available.

The Stephen Roche training camps cater for riders of all abilities so if you’re building up for a big event in 2012 they may be just the thing it boost your training. Stephen regularly attends the camps so you never know if you might end up cycling with the great man yourself and 2012 is a big year for him. It see’s him celebrate the 25th Anniversary of his momentous Triple Crown win in 1987 when he won the Tour de France, the Giro de Italia and the World Championships.
