The Princes Risborough St. George’s Sportive from the Southern Sportive team will return on Sunday April 21st next year. Traditionally placed on the closest Sunday to St George’s Day, the event is now in it’s seventh year, and is expected to sell out again for a sixth straight instalment.

800 riders took on the tough Chilterns route in 2012, and event capacity will be unchanged for 2013. That big event feel, combined with a superb course, first class organisation and a great value £20 ticket price are what keep people coming back year on year for this Chilterns classic.

“For many of our riders this is their first real test of the season, and it’s an ideal event for that” say the organisers. “The ride distances are just right for an early season event, but the profile is properly challenging. The Chilterns don’t lay down for very long, they keep throwing climb after climb at you making this a sportive that punches above it’s weight. It’s a beautiful ride though, especially in the spring, and the short and mid ride options give you choice over how hard you want it to be, so it’s perfect for shaking off the winter rust!”
