The St George’s Sportive on April 21st has nearly reached it’s 800 rider capacity, and riders are encouraged not to leave it to the last minute to book if they want to get a space. Organisers Southern Sportive have already confirmed that on the day entry will not be available for the event, as it approaches selling out for it’s sixth straight year.

The Princes Risborough event which traditionally takes place on the nearest Sunday to St George’s Day, is one of the oldest Chiltern’s sportives, dating back to 2007. The course winds through the Chiltern Hills in full Spring bloom; tree blossoms and bluebells add splashes of colour to take your mind off of the relentless hills. It’s a challenging course that wears you down by attrition, but a it’s great ride too and an event that justifies its popularity.
