EVENT SUMMARY

After a popular launch last year the Ride With Brad Sportive returns for a second year offering cyclists a chance to share the road with Sir Bradley Wiggins. The event gives thousands the opportunity to ride with Britain’s first-ever winner of the yellow jersey and
directly support his Foundation which aids young people in getting involved and developing their potential in sport

ROUTE INFORMATION

3 route options are available –

  • 160km
  • 100km
  • 50km

“The routes will take you on a tour of Lancashire’s most outstanding natural beauty spots. This includes the Forest of Bowland where you will pass through picturesque villages and farmland of the Ribble Valley, before climbing onto remote open moorland where you will be greeted with stunning views and a silence broken only by your exertions.

On the 160km route you will conquer many challenging climbs and descents which have featured in the Tour of Lancashire, the Tour of Britain and the National Road Race Championships. With renowned climbs such as Barley Fell, Waddington Fell, Nick o’ Pendle, Trough of Bowland, and Longridge Fell forming the breathtaking backdrop to the challenging route. This route has a heritage to match the riders who have raced on its roads in years gone by and who train on it to this day.

The shorter 100km route misses out the northern moorland loop around the Trough of Bowland but still includes Barley Fell, Waddington Fell, Longridge Fell and the Nick o’ Pendle. A shorter challenge but you still get plenty of fantastic scenery and the chance to ride with Brad too.”
