The latest round of Southern Sportives popular Sunday Sportive series takes place this weekend (Sunday 3rd July) from Reigate in Surrey.

As the summer weather gets back on track, this season is starting to shape up into one to savour, and the Reigate sportive is a superb summer ride. The route loops through the Surrey Hills and North Downs out to the Kent Wield and back, taking in some spectacular scenery and quintessentially English countryside and villages along the way. The terrain is nicely varied, mixing surprisingly tough hilly sections in perfect balance with fast flats to get your legs turning.

Southern Sportives events have been getting rave reviews from riders and the press for the quality of their routes signage and organisation, and at just £18 for the full distance route, offer good value for money too.

Your entry fee gets you a complete core sportive ride, with comprehensive signage, support, well stocked feed stations and transponder timing. The course features two support stations, with free food and energy drink to help fuel you through the ride, with a free cup of tea and plenty of refreshments available at the finish. Cycle Surgery will be in attendance at the event base too, providing mechanical support and those last minute essentials.

You can enter online up until Thursday night at southernsportive.com. Entry on the day may be available, subject to prior demand; check the website on Thursday evening for confirmation. For further information, call Southern Sportive on 0118 988 6041.
