EVENT SUMMARY
A 3 day cycling festival taking place at the Holkham Estate featuring a host of events including 3 days of sportive rides
ROUTE INFORMATION
Each day offers a different sportive route all starting and finishing from the Holkham Hall Estate –
Day 1 – 100 miles – day 1’s ride will go east following the coast through Cromer to Bacton, before heading inland towards Broads to the outskirts of Norwich. The rolling return to Holkham is via central Norfolk and Houghton.
Day 2 – 100 miles – day 2 will head south via Great Massingham and the Arch at Castle Acre before Swaffham, the Brecklands and the quiet roads of Thetford Chase. It will loop back through the Fens to Downham Market, Sandringham and Anmer before reaching Holkham.
Day 3 – 50 miles – this route is a favourite of the Fatbirds and Norfolk Superheros Clubs and takes in the dreaded Salthouse Climb, with the faster riders going for an average of 30kph for the course. It leaves Holkham via the South Entrance, goes into Burnham Market and drops down to the coast road and reaches Salthouse via Wells, Stifkey and Blakeney and before turning for home.
