For the last 3 years, No Fuss Events have organised the Buachaille Sportive, which traditionally started and finished at Glencoe Mountain Resort. This has been a popular event, but No Fuss have taken the decision this year to discontinue the event.

The decision, Frazer from No Fuss explains, has been made with the safety of those taking part at the core. He had this to say, ‘Although there have been no accidents on the route during our event, we feel that the section of the A82 used by the cyclists is too dangerous for the event to continue. We think that the Buachaille Sportive is a great route, but as we stand at Glencoe Mountain Resort welcoming riders back in, the soundtrack down on the A82 is of cars and lorries and motorbikes whizzing past. We are sorry to let this one go and apologise to anyone who is disappoint.’

Lord 6

But all is not lost. No Fuss Events also organise the ever popular Lord of the Lochs Sportive, which takes place on September 26th this year, and is bigger and better than before. There are 3 choices of route, the Elite at 180km, the Standard at 156km and BRAND NEW for 2015, a 100km route – The Lord of the Lochs Tonne. Whichever route you choose, you will find yourself on quiet, scenic roads. The No Fuss Team will never be far away with 3 food stops on each course and the broom wagon also following the group, making sure everyone gets round safely.

All of the routes start and finish at the Kilmallie Hall in Corpach, near Fort William. Here all participants will be treated to a breakfast snack on the way out and delicious soup upon their return. If you would like more information, head over to the No Fuss website, where entries have just opened.
