New Surrey Sportive Double Header

Event organisers 5034 Events are promoting a double header of Surrey based sportives for the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd March next year. Riders will have the chance to take part in two different events, with the Compact 50 Sportive running on Saturday followed by the Spring Onion Sportive on the Sunday. There are options to ride either or both of the events with a combined entry offer of £40 for both days.

Part 1 The Compact 50 – Saturday 22/3/2014

A great climbing event to run a check on all those winter training miles. The event starts and finishes in Cobham and takes in Chalk Lane, Shere, Barhatch Lane. The mid feed is at Silent Pool followed by Holmbury St Mary, Leith Hill, Coldharbour and finally, Ranmore circa 50 miles and circa 4,400ft of elavation.

Part 2 The Spring Onion – Sunday 23/3/2014

This well established season opener forms part of The Surrey Super Sportive Weekend. Starting and finishing in Oxshott, rolling and weaving its way through Surrey and parts of Sussex. Wisbrough Green is the mid feed. A more demanding second phase to this ride, takes in the tough Bedham Hill and finishing off with the ascent of Combe Bottom , a very testing 65 miles for a great Sunday event.
