A further trio of cycling stars have joined the growing guest list for next month’s Champions of CycleSport Dinner in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research. Olympic and Commonwealth track sprinter Ross Edgar, Team GB track and road rider Andy Tennant and rising star on the women’s racing scene, Hannah Barnes will all attend the event at London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club on 28 November.

Supported by online retailer Wiggle, the event is attended by some of the hottest names on two wheels, with Sir Dave Brailsford, Chris Boardman MBE, Roger Hammond and Jody Cundy MBE all already confirmed as guests. More names are expected to join the line-up in the coming weeks, along with a top-secret cycling megastar whose identity cannot be revealed until the night itself!

Organised annually by Action Medical Research, the Champions of CycleSport Dinner celebrates the charity’s passion for all things cycling and last year raised £180,000 towards its work helping sick babies and children.

The evening is hosted by Sky News anchor Dermot Murnaghan, who will conduct live and exclusive interviews with the Champions. TV medic Dr Dawn Harper will also be in the house to deliver the welcoming speech. Both are long-term supporters who regularly get on their bikes for the charity.

Guests will have a chance to bid in a live auction full of highly coveted, exclusive cycling lots. Hosted by BBC commentator Simon Brotherton and sponsored by Frog Bikes, the auction includes a fantastic VIP hospitality package for two to enjoy the finale of the 2014 Tour de France with Team Sky. There is also a Tour De France winner’s jersey signed by Chris Froome, a day’s ride out with Jody Cundy MBE and the chance to spend a day in the team car and enjoy the thrill of a race up close with either Rapha Condor or Madison-Genesis.

Action Medical Research Head of Events Fundraising, David Graham says: “This event is a unique chance to rub shoulders with Olympic gold medallists and a whole host of exceptional champion cyclists. We have just a few tables left so book yours, bring some guests and join our big celebration of cycling.”

The event is supported by media partner Rouleur.

Gold and Silver table packages have now sold out but Bronze tables are still available.
