Entries for the Wiggle Coasting in Cornwall sportive open at 9am today. Taking place on the 21st April 2013 this new event from Kilo To Go starts from National Trust Lanhydrock and promises routes that take in some of the quietest and and most beautiful parts of Cornwall and the coast.

There are a choice of three route options,  91, 60 or 38 miles meaning there’s an accessible and achievable route for everyone and each one is as challenging as you want to make it. Wiggle Coasting in Cornwall begins by skirting the mildly hilly southern flanks of Bodmin Moor before gently turning south to the English Channel coast at Looe. Then beautiful rolling countryside to the Lerryn and Fowey valleys. The 91 and 60 options show off some of Cornwall’s former industrial heritage passing the world’s finest china clay deposits along with quaint old tin mines where the Cornish pasty originated. There’s the Eden Project too and a second coastal visit, this time the Atlantic, for the 91 milers via the Vale of Mawgan. You might want to call in at one of the world famous Rick Stein eating establishments in Padstow before the route gently wends it’s way back to Lanhydrock –  with the probable assistance from an Atlantic westerly.
