Bookings are now open for the Dare 2B Yorkshire Festival of Cycling which celebrates the Tour de France grand depart coming to Yorkshire next year. Taking place on the 4th to 6th July 2014 in the grounds of Harewood House, and right on the course for the first stage of the 2014 Tour de France, it should be a great place to be part of this historic occasion and 0catch some of the Tour action.

As well as a chance to watch the Tour as it passes on Saturday visitors will be able to camp in the grounds of Harewood House and enjoy a weekend of entertainment, shopping and food and drink as well as the chance to take part in some of the planned cycling participation events including led rides following the Tour riders and a 2.4 mile closed road circuit time trial course within the grounds.

The led rides are being organised by Human Race events who have been liaising closely with the Yorkshire Police and Traffic Management teams to plot some great routes, avoiding the hefty stretches of road closures, to get to some of the best spots to catch another view of the race away after watching it was through the grounds of Harewood House. The led rides take place on both Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July and will vary from 30 – 65 miles (approx.) with groups split into gentle, medium and quick so there should be something for cyclists of all abilities.
