EVENT SUMMARY
Following on from it’s inaugural event last year the White Peak returns for 2012 with a revised route and a new venue at Carsington Water for a choice of two routes around the southern Peak District.
ROUTE INFORMATION
A choice of two route options –
- Long route – 84 miles with circa 2,755m of ascent evenly spaced across the total distance
- Short route – 60 miles with circa 1,857m of ascent evenly spaced across the total distance
“The White Peak is the southern area of the Peak Disitrict National Park and boasts stunning views across open moorland approching 2,000 feet above sea-level. It’s tough cycling terrain with hard climbs on some of the routes; but you’ll enjoy the richness of the countryside with babbling brooks and lush tree-lined valleys too.”
