A choice of two circular routes starting from & returning to Downside Village Hall, Cobham that are aimed at enjoying the scenic countryside of Surrey and the terrain that accompanies it.
A choice of two route options are available –
- Short Route – 57 miles (91km) with 934m of climbing
- Long Route – 77 miles (123km) with 1212m of climbing
“The short 91km route leaves Downside and heads out through Effingham, Forest Green, and Ewhurst towards Cranleigh then heads via Loxhill, Milford, Elstead, & Puttenham, towards the checkpoint at Seale after 34 Miles. Once refreshed, you will skirt south of Woking and through Send, Ripley, & Ockham, before returning to the HQ at Downside, where further refreshments are available. This route features 934m of climbing.
The longer 122km circuit follows the aforementioned route through to Cranleigh. From there you will head south to Ellen’s Green and Rudgewick, en-route to your first checkpoint at Wisborough Green (28 Miles). Heading North, Kirdford, Plaistow, & Dunsfold pass by, and you will reconnect with the shorter ride at Loxhill. The second checkpoint at Seale (54 Miles) is reached via Milford, Elstead, & Puttenham. Once refreshed, you will skirt south of Woking and through Send, Ripley, & Ockham, before returning to the HQ at Downside, where further refreshments are available. This route features 1212m of climbing.”
