The 101st edition of the Tour will start on the 5th July 2014 in Yorkshire before heading to London for a stage finish before heading back to mainland Europe.

The tour last visited England in 2007 and the decision to host the start in the UK again in 2014 is partly in recognition of the historical victory of Bradley Wiggin this year.

The details of this Grand Départ and the stages it will include will be revealed at a press conference that will take place on Thursday 17th January 2013, in two phases, in both Leeds and Paris
