The biggest CX Sportive season to date rounds off on March 10th on the South Downs. The Southern Sting CX takes the mixed terrain format over the big hills of the West Sussex downs, bringing a whole new set of challenges to riders on cross bikes, MTBs, hybrids and a all sorts of different machines.

CX Sportive have been making waves for the past couple of years, introducing road and MTB riders to a different kind of event that mixes the two disciplines on a fast and varied course, and the result has been a clear favourite, generating great atmosphere and even starting to win rider awards in the magazines.

While the event format is pretty new, the team behind it have 20 years experience in delivering Trail Break MTB and Southern Sportive road events, so you get great organisation and  support throughout the event, full route marking, rider timing and energy drink support from Torq Fitness.

The Southern Sting CX course offers distances from 50-80km, on back lanes, farm tracks and bridleways, with stretches of singletrack and sections of the iconic South Downs Way included too.
