EVENT SUMMARY
The CX Sportive format returns for 2012 after it’s launch last year. Whilst the route does include some off road sections and is ideally suited to a cyclo cross bike entry is also open to mountain bikes and regular road bikes with riders times getting recorded by bike type.
ROUTE INFORMATION
“The droves south of Salisbury Plain are perfect CX Sportive country! Tracks and lanes climb and dive through the valleys, and run along the ridge lines before flying off at a tangent once more! CX Sportive courses are designed to cover a variety of terrains, typically to the following percentages: 60% Road (mostly back lanes), 25% fast tracks (fire road/farm track), 10% bridleway, 5% singletrack (semi-technical off road)”
