Kilo To Go have launched the next event in their free to enter Rideout series, taking place on Sunday 3rd June 2012 it will give riders the chance to sample some of the roads that make up the Rut Sportive route heading into Rutland, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

The event distance is approximately 42 miles and is aimed at cyclists that have recently bought a bike and have been putting in some miles but have little experience of riding in groups so it’s ideal training if you’re planning to take part in some sportives later in the year and need to build your confidence.

Starting from Catmose Sports Centre (Huntsmans Drive, Oakham, Rutland LE15 6RP) groups of riders will set off from 10am on a circular route to the North and West of Oakham at a pace that promises to be relaxed and stress-free.

Rideout’s aren’t full sportives so you’ll need to be a bit more self reliant as there’s no route marking or feed stations but you will be riding in a group so support should always be on hand if you need it.

Entry is free but you do need to reserve you place so which can be done via Kilo To Go’s website –
