Performance Cycles Launch Winter Mini-Sportive Series
Posted Thursday 18th September 2014 –
Performance Cycles (www.performancecycles.co.uk) have confirmed that their annual winter mini-sportive series of six events will be back for its fifth year. These ever popular events, that sell out every month, are a great way to make sure you continue to clock up the miles during the winter months. With one event taking place each month between October and March, there’s no excuse not to keep riding this winter and make 2015 your best season on the bike. Event dates are:
Sunday 19th October
Sunday 16th November
Sunday 14th December
Sunday 11th January
Sunday 8th February
Sunday 8th March
The event format is very simple, these stripped back sportives don’t offer chip timing, or feed stations (with the longest route being 65 miles, you shouldn’t need one) but they do have everything else you’d expect from an event promoted by Velo Events – including a choice of two fully signed routes, mechanical back-up, plenty of free parking at the event HQ, showers, changing facilities and the now famous bacon (or egg!!) butty and a great selection of cake and hot drinks for all riders when they finish – and all this is included in the entry price of just £8.50 per rider.
To encourage some of the younger riders out, riders under 16 years of age get FREE entry to the events, when accompanied by a paying adult – and if riders sign up for all six events, their entry will automatically be discounted to just £7.50 per event. Field size is limited to just 150 riders per event, so don’t hang about if you want to ride them.
More details about the events, including how to enter can be found on the series website www.minisportiveseries.co.uk
