After a successful 2nd year which has seen record number of riders attend their events, the Wiggle Super Series will be expanding to incorporate 2 new winter events designed to keep you out on the bike over the winter months.

The two new events are set to be coastline classic. The first of which is a new Mountain Bike event called the ‘Purbeck Hill-a-Saurus’. The Jurassic Coastline, provides the perfect rugged landscape for this challenging MTB Ride which is packed with sublime vistas, from start to finish. The organiers are promising a real ‘Beast’ of a ride to capture the imagination of riders.

The second event the ‘Wight Winter’ Sportive is set on the Isle of Wight and builds on the success of the sell out Wight Ferry Sportive earlier in the year. This time riders will start and finish from Yarmouth and will enjoy either, a 62 or 43 miles loop of the stunning western part of the Isle of Wight. Ferry travel will be arranged for riders travelling from the mainland to ensure the usual hassle free riding experience that UK Cycling Events prides themselves on.

Both events will feature feed stations in warm village halls and hot drinks will be provided in addition to the well stocked feed stations riders have come to expect and enjoy from Wiggle Super Series events. Seasonal Mince pies will also be making an appearance at the Wight Winter Sportive!

Martin Barden, of UK Cycling Events, the organiser of the Wiggle Super Series, said: “We want to encourage riders not to hibernate this winter, but to get out and ride. We believe these new events have the right mix of route lengths, warm feed station and locations to ensure riders have an enjoyable experience.”
