Ride The Route

A new event, Ride The Route, is being planned for September which will give cyclists the chance to ride part of the Olympic Road Race route and sample what the olympic athletes will face in 2012.

Being organised by ActiveSurrey County Sports Partnership, the event is planned to take place on Sunday 4th September 2011 starting from Imber Court, East Molesey and will be based on a 105km (65 mile) loop of the Surrey section of the Olympic route.

Plans are to make the event an annual addition to the UK sportive calendar and riders who pre enter for 2011 are also promised priority booking for the event in the 2012 Olympic year.
