New Dartmoor Sportive Training Camp Announced
Posted Wednesday 12th December 2013 –
Just Events have launched a new Dartmoor Cycle Training Camp has been specifically designed for the Sportive cyclist, looking to build their bike skills and personal fitness in preparation for the 2014 Sportive cycling season. The one-week residential training camp is based at Bellever Youth Hostel, nestled right in the heart of Dartmoor National Park and offers riders a comprehensive training program.
The training schedule will begin with a fitness assessment followed by a private consultation with your training coach, where they will recommend the appropriate ‘Ride Group’ for each rider. During the day, each group will complete a structured training ride with clear training objectives. Ride leaders will accompany each group to provide coaching and support. At the end of the ride there will have a recovery session before heading off for your three course evening meal.
During your evenings attendees will receive classroom based theory and practical training on a range of topics from routine bike maintenance through to sports nutrition. Each session is presented by a specialist in that field and they will be available to answer any specific questions you may have.
The Dartmoor Cycle Training Camp is organised and run by local cyclists who share a passion for road cycling and have an intimate knowledge of the roads in and around Dartmoor National Park. Training sessions will be tailored around the attendees, so whether you’re training for your first 50 km ride or seeking Gold on the Moor 2 Sea (180km) Extreme, you should benefit from taking part.
Spaces are limited to 30 and with a third of them already sold you will need to act fast if you want to attend.
