Sunday 12th May 2013
The Malvern Spring Sportive is an all-new event for 2013 that combines the fun of a sportive with a day out for the rest of the family. Taking place at the Three Counties Showground, and running as part of the annual Gardening Show.
A choice of 2 route options –
“The sportive itself will take riders out into the stunning countryside around the Malverns, mixing in amazing views and some testing climbs. There will be two routes on offer, of 100km and 160km and riders will not need to decide what route they’re doing until they get to the split point on the day. The event will be fully supported, with a comprehensively signed route, well stocked feed stations, NEG motorcycle outriders, first aid cover, neutral service support and much more.
At the end of the ride, rather than just finishing in a car park like most sportives the Malvern Spring Sportive will bring you back in through the centre of the Gardening Show (themed in 2013 as a celebration of cycling), along a barriered section of road to the finish line right next to the main show gardens. And with over 80,000 visitors coming to the show over the course of the weekend it’s sure to provide an atmosphere like no other.”
