Entries for the 2012 Mad March Hare Sportive taking place on the 4th March are now open. In previous years the event has sold out in a matter of days so whilst the capacity is up to 500 riders for this year you’d be wise to enter early if you want to guarantee a place.

The event is intended as a warm-up for the summer calendar of Sportives and because of the shorter days and potential for bad weather the distance has been kept down to 75 miles on fast and safe, open country roads taking riders through quiet North Worcestershire ‘chocolate-box’ villages and hamlets.

The 75 mile route is generally flat except for a couple of challenging climbs followed by a heavy going route home which the organisers are promising will be enough to test the fittest of riders’ legs.

The entry is only £12 per rider and for that you can expect –

  • A clearly way-marked route with route card backup
  • Feed station with food and drinks
  • Individual Times for all
  • Professional photography of the event
  • HQ with toilets
  • Free offroad parking
  • Free Hot/Cold Drinks before and after your ride
  • Free Bacon Baps & Hot Dogs after your ride
