The London-Surrey Cycle Classic Olympic test event will bring some of the best cyclists from around the world to the streets of London and the challenging terrain of Surrey on 14 August 2011.

The event is open to elite and under-23 male athletes. It will feature 28 teams of five riders each, and will provide a unique opportunity for athletes to try out the London 2012 Road Race course with less than one year to go until the Games.

For spectators it’s free to watch from the majority of the course, however, the zig zag climb at Box Hill and The Mall in London will be restricted and require a wristband to access. As Box Hill is a Site of Special Scientific Interest the numbers of spectators is being limited to 3,400 to test the impact on the area.
