Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge 2013
EVENT DATE
Sunday 29th September 2013
LOCATION
Cockerham, Lancashire
EVENT SUMMARY
The Lancashire Loop Cycle Challenge has something to suit everyone. Whether you are a novice cyclist and looking for a new challenge, or someone who can easily notch up 50+ miles just for fun, you are perfect for this fundraising event.
The event is raising funds for MedEquip4Kids, a children’s charity raising money to provide paediatric medical equipment and facilities for hospitals and community health teams. There is no minimum sponsorship, but the organisers would like riders to do their best raise as much as you can, to support our current projects in the region.
ROUTE INFORMATION
Two circular routes are on offer, each taking you on a beautiful journey through the picturesque Ribble Valley, Bowland Fells and Lune Valley.
- The 50 mile route hits you with a few hills to start off with but, once you’re past the 30 mile point, it becomes a lot flatter and each year we have many inexperienced cyclists successfully complete the circuit.
- The 100 mile challenge is geared towards experienced cyclists as you will climb 5,000ft throughout the course.
The three routes start at Cockerham Village Hall, near Lancaster, and you will be cycling through the stunning Ribble Valley.
