Prostate Cancer UK’s Wiggle Jurassic Classic cycling event, which was cancelled due to extreme weather, has been rescheduled to Saturday 18th August 2012. The 100km and 100mile routes will remain the same, starting and finishing at Exmouth Rugby Club and taking cyclists through Sidmouth, Honiton. Collompton and Woodbury Common. A variety of entertainment and refreshments will await riders and their supporters.

To get an idea of the the conditions and why it was cancelled take a look at the video the organisers posted on youtube, the bit that looks like a river is really the road that the course follows!

Andy Sallnow, Sporting Events Manager at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “We are thrilled to be able to reschedule the event so quickly after the disappointment of having to cancel, and we are really looking forward to bringing the Wiggle Jurassic Classic to the South West for the first time.

“A huge thank you to all the riders that have been so supportive throughout and we hope to see as many as possible at the start line on 18th August. Thank you also to all those fundraising – their efforts will raise funds to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life.”

Both routes cost £28 to take part in, with the 100mile route starting from 7am and 100km from 8am.
