The Garmin Edge 500 base bundle, is available in black or blue and you get all the cycle computer, GPS functionality and access to Garmin Connect but there’s no cadence sensor or heart rate sensor included. These are available to purchase later as add-ons but if you think you will want them in the future it’s cheaper to buy them in a bundle with the GPS unit.
The Garmin Edge 500 Red is the top of the range package and includes the addition of Garmin Premium Heart Rate Strap and the additional cadence and speed sensor.
