Exmoor Beauty Sells Out

The 2013 Exmoor Beauty sportive closed its on-line entry system at 14:30 hours on April 12th, with Tamsin Boyle claiming the final place in the popular Somerset event.  With a cap of a thousand imposed by event management company MIG, the “Sold-out” sign went up nearly a week ahead of the published closing date. Commenting on the record number of entrants, the event’s chief organiser, Marcus Di Vincenzo, said “The support of those who made the cut is hugely appreciated by the team who stage ‘The Beauty’ and, the 33% increase on last year’s total clearly justifies our decision to move the event’s headquarters to Tiverton. To those who missed out on a place, we offer our apologies and hope that, once we’ve tested the infrastructure at the new venue, we’ll be able to significantly increase capacity next time. Now let’s keep our fingers crossed that the favourable medium term weather outlook turns out to be accurate, so that we can all have a really great day out on the bike.”
