Threshold Sports are pleased to announce that their flagship event Deloitte Ride Britain has sold out for 2014. Held every year since 2010, this year’s event will see over 800 riders cycle the length of Britain over a nine day period – the largest ‘end-to-end’ cycling challenge in the UK. This year’s challenge will go from Lands End to John O’Groats with participants cycling almost 1,000 miles from September 6-14.
Deloitte RAB is the only way to complete the legendary ‘end to end’ route in a large group and it is the camaraderie fostered over the 9-day challenge that makes the event such a memorable experience for the participants. The event is only possible with a logistical support crew of 150, who ensure fully serviced basecamps await the riders each day with everything taken care of from 1,000 individual tents and power showers to 3 course meals and massages. The level of support is made famous by those who have taken part and is reflected in the fact that 93% of the 2013 participants rated Deloitte RAB as one of the best experiences of their life. All the riders need to do is worry about pedalling and enjoying the stunning scenery.
Nick Tuppen, Commercial Director at Threshold Sports said:
“The event has gone from strength to strength since 2010, but this year has seen a massive jump in demand for places. As the reputation of the event builds more and more people are adding the ‘end to end’ to their cycling bucket list and whether you are a keen club rider or new to cycling, we believe that Deloitte RAB is the best way to tick off the Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge.”
The 2015 dates will be announced in July 2014 and interested riders can find out more information and register their interest at www.rideacrossbritain.com
