Chain Reaction Cycles have unveiled a brand new events team who’ll oversee the company’s increasing presence at some of the world’s biggest road, mountain bike and triathlon events.
Simon Cordner, Grant Norris and Lee Kincaid share over 25 years of experience in event management ranging from in-store press days to top class International sporting festivals and pro races.
Since day one, we’ve been involved with the development of mountain bike races in Ireland, as well as charity rides and trade exhibitions and this investment in a dedicated team of professionals signals the company’s intentions to build on a programme of high quality, global events.
Commenting on the company’s plans, CRC’s PR and Events Manager Simon Cordner said: “Following the establishment of a dedicated Events Team, we’ve greatly increased our on the ground presence. Our events play a vital role for us as a company, allowing us to meet our customers face-to-face – but more importantly to reinforce our investment back into our core sports markets.
Our highly successful Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon Series sees a number of changes and expansion in 2012, namely a new venue in Abergavenny, South Wales and the establishment of the new Vitus Sportive Series which will see a five stop tour around the UK.
We’re particularly excited to meet our customers in the USA this year at the Sea Otter Classic, in what we hope will become an annual feature to our calendar in future years. Other highlights include the iconic Vattenfall Cyclassics in Hamburg, Germany, the awe-inspiring Alpine Challenge in Annecy, France, and the continuation of our hugely popular Mountain Bike Marathon Series throughout the UK.”
Grant Norris said: “2012 will be a fantastic year for cycling. We at Chain Reaction Cycles have been working hard to ensure that our customers and friends can enjoy riding their bikes, running and swimming at selected events across the UK and beyond. The organisers we have chosen to support all have one thing in common: they go the extra mile to create spectacular events with the participant experience at the very heart of it all.”
