Cavendish launches Right To Play’s 2012 Ride

Mark Cavendish launched the Right To Play charity bike ride this week at the Specialized concept store in Covent Garden. The 2011 World Champion and Tour de France Green Jersey winner has supported Right To Play for over three years and continues to be a great advocate for the Sport for Development charity and the work it does globally.
The evening saw cycling enthusiasts and Right To Play supporters attend this exclusive event where the three day 300 mile ride from the Tour de France in Liege to the Olympic Park in London was launched. The ride that is supported by Specialized sets off next June to generate essential funds for Right To Play to continue working with children and young people in developing countries by using the power of sport and play to improve lives. Following the official launch there was a question and answer session with cycling star Mark Cavendish hosted by sports broadcaster John Inverdale.
