Since starting in 2009, over 15,000 cyclists have already taken on the challenge of a Tour Ride with events have taken place in London, Wales, East Anglia, the South West, Scotland and the Midlands over the past five years. For 2013 amateur cyclists will have the choice of two Tour Rides, one in Stoke-on-Trent and one in Scotland, allowing them to follow in the wheel tracks of the professionals from the Tour of Britain.
The Tour Ride Stoke-on-Trent – Sunday 1st September
The Tour Ride Stoke-on-Trent has been a staple of The Tour Ride programme since 2009, with the circular routes in the heart of England proving popular with cyclists from all around the UK. This year, the Pro and Challenge Rides will start and finish from a new and improved location within the Trentham Estate, with routes that will reflect the best of The Tour of Britain’s previous Stoke-on-Trent Stages, including Gun Hill in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
The Tour Ride Scotland – Saturday 14th September
Play your part in Scotland’s Tour of Britain Grand Depart weekend by taking on the challenge of the Stage One route from Peebles to Drumlanrig Castle a day ahead of the world’s top cyclists.
